Das Fürstliche Gartenfest
What should one expect?
Gartenfest is an event where there are plenty of stalls from various vendors who sell products ranging from plants, garden grills, garden furniture, equipment, etc., to specialty cheese, relishes, and dips. In addition, there are stalls for carpets, garments and handmade jewelry, and other decorative articles. There are plenty of food stalls too that offer a variety of food, from traditional german foods like flammkuchen and sausages to hot dogs, ice creams, and crepes. There is plenty of seating arrangement to have a leisurely lunch or even take an afternoon nap!
In addition to shopping and eating, there are other experiences too on offer ( mostly curated around the theme of equestrian sport ), out of which I'm listing down some of the prominent ones:
- Musical performances by various artists
- Equestrian vaulting demonstration (Voltigiersport vorführung)
- Dressage (S- Dressur ), Drag-hunt demonstaton(Schauschleppe)
- Hobby Horsing for children
- Art and craft where children can make a horse using craft material (Steckenpferd basteln)
- Stall by Bioversum, where insects and seeds can be seen under the microscope in addition to other activities related to science and nature.
All the details about the event are available at:

For those who want to put up a stall:
See this link

You need to fill up the form, send it to the organizers and take it forward. The opportunity to put up a stall in Darmstadt is not there anymore ( since the fest has already started). Still, there is an opportunity to put it up in other locations like Fulda and Frankfurt, where subsequent events are planned.
If you cannot visit this time but would like to do so in the future, subscribe to their newsletter to stay informed and not miss it next time.
